Court Liaison Services

Recovery Centers of Arkansas offers Court Liaison Services for individuals who are facing alcohol and/or drug related criminal charges.

Services Offered

Assessment
Includes a comprehensive social and substance use history; standardized assessment instruments including the Addictions Severity Index (ASI), the Mental Health Screening Form, Revised; review by a multidisciplinary team including an Arkansas Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor and an American Society of Addictions Medicine certified physician who will make individualized treatment recommendations.

Court Appearance
Includes presenting the results of the assessment, including treatment recommendations to the court; the court liaison is able to make a decision as to whether Recovery Centers of Arkansas is willing to have an individual bonded out to them at the time of the hearing.

Family Consultation
Includes services to family members.

Referral in lieu of Bonding
Includes responsibility for continuous monitoring as ordered by the judicial system.

Transportation (for those bonded out to RCA)
Includes transportation of the referral from court in Arkansas to the treatment facility; An additional fee will be negotiated if out-of-state transportation is required.

Parolee Hearing Appearance (for those bonded out to RCA)
Includes a court appearance with the client and is usually between 30-90 days following admission into treatment to report on treatment compliance.

Monitoring Reports (for those bonded out to RCA)
Includes a minimum of one monthly written report to the appropriate court to report on treatment compliance.

For individuals who are bonded out to Recovery Centers of Arkansas there are the following levels of alternative sentencing services:

Restricted treatment: $2,625 per month
The fee includes housing and substance abuse treatment: all room and board, including food, snacks, access to laundry services; treatment includes 5 hours of group 7 days a week and a minimum of one hour of individual therapy weekly. There is no access to a phone and no pass to leave the facility. The program has paid staff on-site and provides 24 hour per day supervision.

Limited treatment level 1: (typically 2 months) $735 per month
The fee includes housing and substance abuse treatment: all room and board including food and access to laundry services; treatment includes 2 hours of group 3 times per week and a minimum of one hour of individual therapy weekly. There is access to phone, work privileges, driving privileges (unless otherwise restricted), weekend passes (unless otherwise restricted). The program has paid staff on-site 24/7 to monitor compliance with expectations.

Limited treatment level 2: (typically 2 months) $655 per month
Typically, only those individuals who have completed two months at level one are eligible for this level 2 of treatment. The fee includes housing and substance abuse treatment: all room and board including food and access to laundry services; treatment includes 2 hours of group twice per week and a minimum of one hour of individual therapy weekly. There is access to phone, work privileges, driving privileges (unless otherwise restricted), weekend passes (unless otherwise restricted). The program has paid staff available 24/7 to monitor compliance with expectations.

Limited treatment level 3: (typically 2 months) $575 per month
Typically, only those individuals who have completed two months at level two are eligible for this level 3 of treatment. The fee includes housing and substance abuse treatment: all room and board including food and access to laundry services; treatment includes 2 hours of group weekly and a minimum of one hour of individual therapy weekly. There is access to phone, daytime work privileges, driving privileges (unless otherwise restricted), weekend passes (unless otherwise restricted). The program has paid staff available 24/7 to monitor compliance with expectations.

Limited treatment level 4: (ongoing or until end of sentence) housing costs
Typically, only those individuals who have completed two months at level three are eligible for this level 4 of treatment. Recovery Centers of Arkansas offers several housing options and individuals are able to select from those which best suit their personal needs. Costs are dependent upon what is selected. Options range from dormitory-type shared rooms that include meals to private independent efficiency and one-bedroom apartments. Treatment includes one hour of group weekly and a minimum of one hour of individual therapy monthly.

Individuals are expected to comply with housing rules and treatment recommendations during the course of alternative sentencing. Failure to do so will result in disciplinary action that may include a recommendation to the court for revocation of release. Any activity that endangers the safety or sobriety of another resident will result in a recommendation to the court for alternative sentencing.

Additional services are available at an additional fee, if requested. Those services include treatment for a mental illness and specialized psychopharmacological services such as treatment of opioid addiction through the use of Suboxone, treatment of alcohol addiction through the use of Vivitrol, etc. A separate financial agreement is used for those additional services.
