Recovery Centers of Arkansas provides chemical-free living space to adults progressing successfully in recovery. The goal of the program is to provide a clean, safe, drug-free environment for individuals in substance abuse treatment. Weekly contact with the staff is provided to ensure continued eligibility and encourage behaviors consistent with the goals of the program.
Recovery Residences
At Recovery Centers of Arkansas, our mission is to help individuals break free from the abuse of alcohol and drugs. We provide a range of treatment programs and professional services, all delivered in an environment of dignity and respect. Our goal is to support recovery, foster independence, and promote long-term sobriety.
The Recovery Residence Services aim to offer a safe, clean, and drug-free housing environment for individuals actively engaged in substance abuse treatment. We focus on creating a space that supports recovery and healthy, sober living.
Our recovery residence program offers multiple housing options, requiring weekly check-ins with staff to ensure continued eligibility and to reinforce behaviors that align with recovery goals. These housing options are designed for individuals who are successfully progressing in their recovery journey.
Recovery housing is available for men and women who have committed to living a chemical-free life and are making strides in their recovery. We offer gender-specific living spaces to provide the best support for each individual.
Location and Services
- Williamsburg (Male Housing): This location provides 31 chemical-free living spaces for men in recovery.
- The Cottage (Female Housing): This facility offers 16 chemical-free living spaces for women.
Both housing facilities are conveniently located near local hospitals, shopping centers, and are easily accessible via city transit. This proximity offers residents a variety of work opportunities as they rebuild their skills and regain credibility in the workforce.

- Off-street parking for residents.
Please note that pets are not permitted, and visitors are restricted from entering individual sleeping areas, ensuring a private and focused recovery environment.
Admission Criteria
To qualify for residency, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- The applicant has a substance use disorder diagnosis as defined by the DSM.
- The applicant is currently in treatment with Recovery Centers of Arkansas or an approved program.
- The applicant is drug and alcohol free (no detox required).
- The applicant is medically and psychiatrically stable.
- The applicant is 18 years of age or older.
- The applicant is not a level 3 or 4 sex offender.
- The applicant is not actively dangerous.
- The applicant can live independently.
- The applicant is employed, disabled or actively seeking employment.
- The applicant shows a reasonable expectation of responding positively to treatment.
Exclusion Criteria
An applicant may be denied admission if they:
- Do not meet the admission criteria.
- Pose a danger to themselves, others, or property.
- Cannot be accommodated due to lack of staffing or space.
- Are seeking re-admission after a review of past records.
Discharge Criteria
There are no time restrictions on residency at our Recovery Residence. We offer flexible, supportive housing options tailored to the needs of each individual, respecting that each person knows best when they are ready to transition to a less structured living environment.
Referral Information & Cost/Payment Options
We accept referrals from individuals seeking services, established contracts, and the general public. Housing fees can be covered by the individual or a referral source through contracted rates. Weekly rental fees are as follows:
- Male Residents: $150 per week for a shared room, or $170 per week for a room with a private bath.
- Female Residents: $125 per week for a shared room with two residents.
Major credit cards are accepted and payment plans are available upon request.
Independent Housing
Recovery Centers of Arkansas provides private independent housing at Steeplechase Apartments to those who have successfully completed treatment and graduated from our sober-living program.
Steeplechase Apartments is Arkansas' first-ever chemical-free living apartment complex! This new facility offers 26 one-bedroom and efficiency apartments, complete with paid utilities, for individuals ready to take the next step toward independent living. Located next to our Outpatient and Aftercare services, Steeplechase Apartments provide the perfect blend of freedom and support in a clean, secure environment. Monthly rent varies from $500 to $600 plus deposit.
